So I've been around kicks my whole life. My dad was a big Jordan, back before it was cool, since they had a heated rivalry brewing with the hometown Bad Boys. But like everyone today, my pops saw something in Mike even back then. Growing up seeing my older sister was into it! Talking early 2000s before the term "Sneakerhead" was even a thing. I'm talking release, after release, after release, (you may have seen her behind the counter in the store with some HEAT on as usual) I never personally cared about too much.
But that all changed in 2005, when in 7th grade when I got these 😍 I don't know what it was about this pair but I remember wearing them to school for the first time, shoutout Cleveland Middle School, and it was just different. Maybe it was because a few of my older cousins had a pair as well, or just how clean the colorway was, but I couldn't stop wearing them. I think I begged for every release after that.
Fast forward to Renaissance high school having every release was a must. My deal with my Dad was that if I kept up the grades, I could get the new pair. This definitely worked. Ask anyone at Renaissance 2006-2010 I probably didn't miss a pair. From the countdown packs to the releases in between, I kept the grades up and was rewarded in Mikes🔥
Fast Forward again to 2016, when I sold most of my collection to get through my senior of college, and that's when the idea of Fahrenheit 313 was born. Will save that story for another day.
